Cricketers in Widnes Bowled Over by New Sponsorship Deal

Widnes Cricket Club has received a boost from a new sponsorship deal with merseyflow.

The team secured funding to support with essential items for the 2022 season and beyond, including wicket covers and a training kit for its women’s team.

Neil Conway, Chief Executive Officer of merseyflow, said: “Supporting the community in Halton is really important to us. We’re pleased we’re able to help Widnes Cricket Club as it continues its excellent work in engaging people of all ages with sport and bringing the community together.”

Andy Atkin, Chair of Widnes Cricket Club, said: “We are delighted that Merseyflow have extended their sponsorship with Widnes Cricket Club. The funding we receive really helps with providing us with the essential equipment needed for all of our teams to continue playing and representing Widnes at the highest level possible.”

Widnes Cricket Club has been forging close community links since it was established in 1865 and today the Club is focused on providing the very best facilities to encourage local youngsters to get involved in the sport.
