Merseyflow cyclist smashes fundraising target for local hospice

A member of the merseyflow team has smashed his fundraising target after taking part in a gruelling 60-mile cycle challenge to raise funds for Halton Haven Hospice.

Ian Boyland raised over £440 for merseyflow’s adopted charity as part of the demanding cycling challenge which explores 60 miles around the Cheshire Loop and countryside.

He exceeded his initial fundraising goal of £300, with a jump start of a £200 donation from merseyflow.

The funds will help Halton Haven Hospice continue to provide a peaceful space, specialist end of life care and support to patients and their families in Halton.

Helen Williams, Marketing Manager for Merseyflow, said: “We’re so proud of Ian for his dedication to the hospice and for completing such a challenging event. To cycle 60 miles is a fantastic achievement and we’re pleased we could support him to help raise money for the vital services Halton Haven Hospice provides in the local community.”
