Annual Halton Family Hub’s Easter egg appeal launches with a boost from Merseyflow and Merseylink

03 March 2025

Disadvantaged children in Halton can look forward to receiving an Easter treat as merseyflow kick starts its annual Easter egg appeal with a donation of £1,000 worth of Easter eggs thanks to merseyflow and Merseylink.

Merseyflow are inviting members of the public, along with merseyflow and Merseylink staff to drop off any Easter eggs they want to donate at merseyflow’s Walk-In Centre at Manor Park in Runcorn.

The Walk-In Centre will be accepting Easter egg donations from Monday 3rd March until Monday 7th April at Howard Court, Manor Park, Runcorn, WA7 1SJ. It is open Mon – Fri 9am-7pm and Saturday, Sunday and Bank holidays 9am-6pm.

The treats are being given to Halton Family Hubs in Runcorn and Widnes and will benefit hundreds of disadvantaged children from some of Halton’s most deprived areas.

Helen Williams, Marketing Manager at merseyflow, said: “Supporting the local community in Halton is really important to us and I’m pleased we’ve been able to kick start the appeal again this Easter. I know in the past we have had really strong support from staff and members and the public, so hopefully we’ll see lots of people getting involved to support the children’s centres and give loads of local kids an Easter treat.”

Hugh O’Connor, General Manager of the Merseylink Consortium, said: “We’re delighted to be able to support the annual Easter Egg appeal again this year with our biggest donation to date. We’d love to see others get involved and donate what they can to help Halton Children’s Centres continue its important work in the community.”

Denise Caldwell, Early Help Officer at Runcorn Family Hub said: “We’re always overwhelmed by the generosity of the community here in Halton and would like to offer special thanks to merseyflow and Merseylink for their support. In the past we’ve had a really positive reaction to this kind of appeal from members of the public as well, so any additional donations that people feel they can make are very welcome.”
