Hundreds of less fortunate children around Halton will receive Easter treats thanks to the
cracking success of an annual appeal hosted by Merseyflow and Merseylink.
Hundreds of Easter Eggs were collected by Merseyflow and Merseylink consortium, who kicked off the campaign by donating a whopping £1,000 worth of Easter eggs.
Members of the public, along with merseyflow and Merseylink staff, generously donated hundreds of chocolate treats to the merseyflow Walk-In Centre in Runcorn throughout March as part of the appeal, which has now closed.
The Easter eggs will be distributed to disadvantaged children from some of Halton’s most deprived areas by Halton Family Hubs in Runcorn and Widnes.
Denise Caldwell, Early Help Officer at Runcorn Family Hub, said: “We're continually amazed by the generosity of the Halton community. A special thank you to merseyflow and Merseylink for their ongoing support and generous donations. Every Easter egg donated will be deeply appreciated."
Hugh O’Connor, General Manager for Merseylink, said: "Supporting local charities like Halton Family Hub is a priority for us, and we're proud to have had the opportunity to contribute and bring some Easter joy to the less fortunate children in the community."
Helen Williams, Marketing Manager at merseyflow, said: “We would like to say thank you to all of our staff and customers who have taken the time and effort to donate to this year’s appeal. They have gone above and beyond to ensure that every child in Halton has a treat this Easter. We’re pleased we’re able to continue to support Halton Family Hubs and the great work they do for children and families here in Halton for another year.”
