Local football team Runcorn Town FC has secured a new deal with merseyflow to extend its advertising sponsorship of the club for an extra two years.
The renewed deal is part of merseyflow’s wider community support programme, which includes supporting many local sports clubs, along with continued support for merseyflow’s adopted charity, Halton Haven Hospice.
With the community at its heart, the club also gives younger members of the wider community the chance to play for their youth team, which plays in the Liverpool County Premier League, and their Junior team, which plays in the Warrington & District League.
Runcorn Town FC has agreed to a two-year brand sponsorship deal with merseyflow in a boost for the club ahead of the new 2025/26 season. The sponsorship will mean that merseyflow will be the first team's back of shirt sponsor until the end of the 2026-27 season.
Neil Conway, Chief Executive of merseyflow, said: “We’re proud to sponsor our local football club Runcorn Town FC. We wanted to show our support for the work they do, so we’re delighted to be signing up for a further two seasons of sponsorship.
“We know the sponsorship money will go into helping the club at such a vital time. We’re hopeful for the season ahead and can’t wait to see the team back on the field.”
Alan Bennett, Commercial Director of Runcorn Town FC, said: “We are delighted that merseyflow has agreed to support the Club again. We look forward to working with them over the next two years. Football clubs like ours could not survive without sponsors' support, so we appreciate the commitment."
