Mersey Gateway Crossings Board launches consultation over new RUCSO

The Mersey Gateway Crossings Board is inviting local residents and bridge users to share their views in a consultation on the new Roads User Charging Order for tolls/charges on the Mersey Gateway Bridge and Silver Jubilee Bridge.

Anyone who wants to respond to the consultation, which runs for 3 weeks from 23rd September to 14th October 2020, can give their views online or view the consultation materials in hard copy format at the Halton Direct Links in Runcorn and Widnes.

The customer and stakeholder feedback received as part of the consultation will be considered and used to finalise the new Roads User Charging Order which governs arrangements for the Silver Jubilee and Mersey Gateway Bridges.

The Mersey Gateway Crossings Board is a special purpose vehicle established by Halton Borough Council (The Charging Authority) delegated to deliver the Mersey Gateway Bridge project and to administer and oversee the operation of tolls/charges on the Mersey Gateway and Silver Jubilee Bridges.

The Board operates as a not for profit organisation on an arm’s length basis.
