Renewal deadline approaches for extended merseyflow discount plans

Merseyflow discount plan holders who had their plans automatically extended in the past two months should renew their discount plans before 1st July 2020.

Merseyflow extended Halton Resident and Blue Badge holder discounted plans in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, which meant customers with one of these plans could continue using it without needing to renew.

Merseyflow has directly contacted all affected customers to give them the instructions for renewing.

The quickest and simplest way to renew is to go online to the merseyflow website.

Halton residents can follow merseyflow’s simple five-step renewal guide:

  • Step 1 – scan or take photographs of your valid driving licence, current council tax bill and V5C vehicle registration certificate ready to upload
  • Step 2 – log into your merseyflow account at www.merseyflow.co.uk and click ‘renew my plan’
  • Step 3 – pay your £10 annual fee
  • Step 4 – upload your documents
  • Step 5 – you will receive an email confirming your payment has been received

Blue Badge holders need to follow a similar process and upload photos or copies of both sides of their Blue Badge.

Neil Conway, Chief Executive of merseyflow, said: "We would like to start by saying a huge thank you to our customers for your patience. We've had to adjust our usual services and facilities as a result of COVID-19, and as part of that we extended the annual renewal deadlines for thousands of customers.

"We’re now at a stage where we’re asking those customers affected to renew their annual plans by 1st July and we have contacted them all directly to ask them to do this. We’re also finalising our plans to re-open our walk-in-centre, but I must stress that when it does re-open it will be a reduced operating level to ensure customer and staff safety, so I’d encourage everyone to use our website to renew.”

Halton residents must renew their plan every 12 months to ensure their details are correct and they continue to qualify for their discount scheme. Blue Badge holders have to renew their plans when their Blue Badge expires or if they change their vehicle.
