In the early hours of Sunday 4th August, a dedicated team of 24 merseyflow employees will be lacing up their hiking boots for a challenging nine-mile trek up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), aiming to raise vital funds for their adopted charity, Halton Haven Hospice.
The group will start its Snowdon Sunrise Charity Challenge ascent from Llanberis at 2am, reaching the summit in time to witness the breathtaking 5.30am sunrise.
Merseyflow is proud to announce a generous donation of £4,800 to support the event and the team is hoping to receive further donations to help the local charity.
Halton Haven Hospice plays a crucial role in the community by offering specialist palliative care at no cost to individuals in Halton and surrounding areas who are living with life-limiting conditions.
The hospice needs to raise over £2.6 million annually to cover its operating costs, with only half of this amount funded by statutory sources. Rising living costs further strain its resources, making donations essential for its continued service.
Helen Williams, Marketing Manager at merseyflow, is part of the team tackling the highest mountain in Wales. Helen said: “This is both a physical challenge and a fundraising endeavour. Our team is ready to push their limits, and we hope the community will support us in making a significant impact for Halton Haven Hospice.
