Merseyflow has today unveiled a significant upgrade to the merseyflow app, designed to give customers even greater flexibility and convenience when paying for journeys across the Mersey Gateway and Silver Jubilee bridges.
For the first time, the app now mirrors the full functionality of the merseyflow website, enabling hundreds of thousands of customers to seamlessly manage their accounts, access discount schemes, and make payments via their preferred device.
The upgrade introduces a range of new features, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, making payment quicker and easier than ever before.
Customers using the app can now use it to:
- Register, update and manage the full range of accounts and payment plans directly
- Apply for discount schemes, including the Local User Discount Scheme (LUDS) and the Blue Badge Holder scheme
- Set up and manage a pay-as-you-go account, where there are no discounts, but payment can automatically be taken from a bank account
- Pay for one-off crossings.
Existing app users with an account will now be automatically transitioned to a pay-as-you-go account, ensuring a smooth experience across both the app and website. Customers will be able to continue to use their existing login details across both platforms.
Neil Conway, Chief Executive of merseyflow, announced: “We are excited to roll out this update for our customers. By integrating all functionalities between the merseyflow website and app, we’re making it simpler than ever to manage accounts and pay for crossings. The addition of Google and Apple Pay makes paying even more convenient for users.”
The updated merseyflow app is available to download for free on iOS and Android devices.
